After you complete the intake process and the initial visit and evaluation your provider will make recommendations which may include individual or group psychotherapy.
You will also receive referrals to any other providers or services that are included in your treatment plan. And, you will be informed of the plan for follow-up medication management appointments in our office.
Individual psychotherapy refers to a one on one session with a clinician to determine the nature and causes of issues to be addressed as well the development of a treatment plan. Many people find tremendous benefits from individual psychotherapeutic treatment.
Group psychotherapy refers to one or more providers who lead a group therapy session of several patients at one time. Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only. Many of these groups are designed to address specific problems, such as depression, panic disorder, social anxiety, or substance abuse. There are also groups that focus on helping groups who have experience similar types of loss or have issues such as anger or low self-esteem.
