Medication management

Once you or your child have seen a provider at UVA  Behavioral Health Manassas and established a course of treatment, you will continue to see your provider at established intervals. These periodic appointments give your provider a chance to assess your medication needs or the medication needs of your child and make any necessary changes to prescriptions. It also gives you a chance to discuss any concerns you may have including any difficulty taking medications or unpleasant side effects.

At each appointment, your provider will give you hard copies of your prescriptions or instructions on how to obtain those medications after our office calls them in to your pharmacy. Please make every effort to discuss routine medication refill needs during your visits so as not to delay the refill process.

During your follow-up appointments, you will also receive referrals to other providers and services as needed. Should you or your child ever need a resource not offered to you, do not hesitate to ask.
